Karen + David {Engagement Party}

With the weather turning cold here in L.A. we are missing warm weather and long summer nights. There is nothing better than lighting some candles, opening a bottle of wine (or a few) and breathing in the warm summer air with people that you love. Since summer is long gone, we thought would warm you up a bit with a dinner party with so many of our favorite touches.  David and Karen are such a fun couple with great style, and they wanted to celebrate their engagement with their closest family and friends. With a little help from a few of our friends (an amazing team of vendors) we were able to help this sweet couple celebrate in style. Congratulations David and Karen, we are so happy for you two!

Angeles National Wedding {June & Kenny}

At Ooh La Love we are always up for a challenge, so when June reached out to us from Boston looking for help with her California wedding in just three short months we jumped right in. Knowing that June and Kenny wanted an outdoor venue and a beautiful view we immediately thought of Angeles Golf Club.  By adding draping, chandeliers, and adorable accent  furniture from Jina Choi of The Flower we were able to turn this blank canvas into the romantic outdoor space this Bride was dreaming of.  June also added so many fun personal touches and details, including a “mimosa ceremony” instead of the typical sand ceremony since the couple loves champagne. So cute! Congratulations again June and Kenny!

Gender-Neutral Baby Shower

Last weekend I got to take part in coordinating a baby shower for one of my close friends, Alyssa. She is due mid-March and has an adorable baby bump! Alyssa has made the decision of not finding out if she is having a boy or girl so we stuck with very neutral colors like gold and white but added some teals in for an accent color. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Puppy Party!

Yesterday was Baxter’s 1st birthday, so naturally I had to throw him a party to celebrate. I am not ashamed to admit that this is not the first party he has had, and it certainly won’t be the last. Earlier this year he graduated from obedience school with his cousin Dunkin so my sister and I threw them a graduation party, and it was so fun to plan. Some of my favorite details from these parties have included birthday/graduation hats, a treat bar, cake pops decorated with bones and paws and a yummy dog cake for Baxter’s guests.  Check out the adorable puppy pictures, and I also included the dog safe recipe for the cake his grandma makes him. Enjoy and Happy Birthday Baxter!

30th Wedding Anniversary

Last week my in-laws celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary at their home with immediate family (in a Cuban house that means 40 people).  My mother in-law has always been surrounded by boys so I wanted to make sure this party had the girly touches she loves!   30th anniversary is the year of the pearl so with the help of my Mom and sisters we created an all white dessert table. We also added candles and white centerpieces to the tables outside to create a romantic feel. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

DIY Wedding at Smog Shoppe {Daisha & Brett}

If you have ever been to Smog Shoppe you know it is an unique venue just waiting for party – and Daisha and Brett did not disappoint. These two are such a fun couple! Daisha had so many DIY projects that made their wedding very personal, and I had so much fun being a part of their big day. Enjoy the pictures and congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Anderson!
